Pete's fishing report. The weather yesturday was in the mid 80s, I was on the water by 9 AM. Thinking the water temps was going to be warm, it measured 60 degrees, not bad for the last couple of days being in the 80s. The fishing started slow, but around 11 AM it starting to pick up. My first rig set up was Hippy Stomper, size 14 and a Pink Squirrel size 16 on my dropper. We turned fish on the P.S. but could not buy a fish on the Hippy Stomper. We switch to a Parawolf size 14 and Comparadun (B.W.O.) size 16. This was the rig to fish, we turned fish in shallow riffles and tail outs. It was very cool to see the trout eat these flies in my different ways. Supper light sips, to head to tail takes. My client caught two Brown Trout on his double dry fly rig, the first ever for him. Smiles on both our faces as we walked back to the car. I thought it was going to be a slow day fishing with hot weather and starting at 9 AM. It just goes to show, go out and fish!!
