Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Today will be sunny and pleasant. Fishing is still best on terrestrials and midges with hatches few and far between this time of year.Nymphing has still been very good too with micro nymphs, scuds, and pink squirrels. Smaller sizes are usually more effective as fish can be spooky in low, clear water.
Water temps are great as we had a very cold week last week, but you should still have a thermometer handy. Over 65 and the fishing will be crummy, and the couple of streams over 70 have temperatures that can be lethal to trout.
