Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 88 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Showers on and off this morning.  Already got a nice drizzle that dumped a quarter of an inch in our area.
Partly cloudy today with patchy drizzle.  If the clouds stay, the fishing will be incredible all day long.  Once the sun peeks out, things will shut down.
There are no major hatches outside of the early morning trico spinner fall.  This is terrestrial time, and fishing ants, beetles, crickets and hoppers is key.
Slim bodied nymphs and midge larvae, and micro nymphs are catching fish, as are smaller scuds subsurface.
Mousing and tossing big streamers at night has been very effective not only for some bigger fish, but for numbers of fish too.
