Driftless Area

Continued good fishing mornings and evenings, with the cooler mornings being the best and the last couple of hours of the day getting fish to eat pretty much anything!Water temps are in the high 50s in the morning and some streams hitting the high 60s. Remember that if temps are in the high 60s, fishing will be slow and anything over 70 can be lethal to trout.
A few olives hatching in the dark, tricos in the morning, and terrestrials on the surface the rest of the day.
Simple subsurface patterns like pheasant tails and midge larvae dropped below a terrestrial, or rolled along the bottom are great.
We have had some very light recent rains that have not stained the water at all. It remains low and clear.
