Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Solid fishing continues despite low, clear water and sunny weather.  You will still have the best success fishing at sun up and at dusk as well as finding shaded areas.  Midges and olives in the morning, terrestrials with tiny bead head droppers mid day, and light colored yellow to orange flies (sulphurs, cahills, craneflies, sallies) in the evening.
Fish are feeding in the riffles and runs when the sun is off the water, and taking shelter in the deeper pools when the sun is directly shining on them.
