Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 84 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.

Cold front moving in today which means big winds from the south and cloud cover tonight.  Today will be rough, but the storm will bring clouds and possible rains which will help bring water levels up a bit.
Fishing will be best on streams with a bit of shelter out of the wind.  Wide open meadows can be frustrating in windy conditions.
Subsurface fishing will be best, with fish eating pink scuds, small midge larvae, and thin bodied nymphs.
If the winds calm down in the evening look for olives, yellow sallies, caddis, and craneflies.
