Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 76 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Cooler weather has put the fish in a much happier mood. Fish were rising first thing this morning and have been feeding well all day long, despite sunny weather. Just do not expect fish to eat on the surface when the sun is shining down on the water.Caddis, craneflies, midges, sulphurs and yellow sallies are hatching, especially in the evening.
During the day fish are eating scuds and thin bodied nymphs.
The weather has been excellent for fishing terrestrials; ants, beetles, and even small hoppers have been fishing well.
