Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 77 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Fishing is still very solid.  Caddis fishing has been great.  Alongside the caddis are the craneflies and some lighter colored mayflies in the evening.
Subsurface flies are mostly thicker bodied caddis pupae, scuds, and prince nymphs.  We have also started to have success on thin bodied nymphs and emergers (due to the presence of ligther colored mayflies).
Ants and beetles are being taken too.
Streams are clear and flowing a touch low.  No rain predicted in the near future means a great caddis weather weekend!
