Despite a weather pattern that can not quite figure out what it wants to do, fishing has been great lately.Today will be cloudy with some light rain in the late morning and afternoon. There is not supposed to be a ton of rain, or heavy rain, so there is no fear of streams blowing out.
We may see some olives today, as they have been hatching lately, and these conditions are perfect for a mayfly hatch.
Fishing sub surface has been great on scuds, midge larvae, leeches, and caddis pupae.
Fish are feeding in the deeper spots in the morning, then moving up into the runs and riffles in the later part of the day to feed on emerging insects.
