Driftless Area

With the warmer night last night, fishing will be great today. Yesterday things took a while to warm up, but fish started to feed heavily in the afternoon, especially sub surface. Today, with a warmer start and some sun should see more caddis and craneflies hatching, as well fish rising to small olives and midges in the evening.Fish are feeding in the deeper pools and pockets in the mornings and moving up into the riffles and runs in the afternoon as the hatches start to get going.
Tungsten scuds have been great sub surface, as have midge pupae and caddis pupae.
Streams are low and clear, so make sure your approach is as stealthy as it can be.
