Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 50 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Fishing will be quite slow this morning and early afternoon as the overnight temperature was below 20. Water temperatures have dipped a bit and put the insect and fish activity off a bit until the sun warms things up quite a bit.Midges and olives are still around with fish rising to them (sporadically today in the afternoon and evening). Caddis are still around, but nothing major in terms of hatching still.
Subsurface patterns have tended to be best with extra weight as many fish are hugging the bottom.
The best news today is that the horrid winds we had the past couple of days are finally gone!
