Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 49 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.

Fishing continues to be great in the Driftless.  Today and tomorrow will be chilly and breezy, effectively making dry fly fishing difficult unless you find a sheltered area and fish in the afternoon when the water temperatures rise a bit.
Water temperatures have dropped over the past week with the colder nights, going from the 50s and 60s to high 40s and 50s on most streams.
All our waters are a touch low and clear, and fish are a bit spooky, but are happy to eat sub surface on scuds, heavy tungsten nymphs, and emergers.
