Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 60 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

The great fishing continues as stable weather has fish settling into a pattern again.  Early morning fishing deep with nymphs and sub surface flies turning to fishing with midges and midge pupae as the first round of hatches begin.  Then in the afternoon a mix of caddis and blue winged olives depending on which stream you fish.
You can make things easy on yourself by fishing a leech or small streamer right now too.
Waters are clear and flowing a bit low with temperatures in the mid 40s to 50s area wide.
The sunny weather should get more black caddis going, we have spotty reports of some very nice hatches lately.
