Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 61 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.
Black caddis have started to show themselves on a few streams (right after they had seemed to slow down the past few days!), and fish are really picking up on black pupae. The major hatch seems to only need a warmer sunny day to get things going.Today will be cloudy and a better olive and midge day. This should help fishing on the clear streams!
Water temps have been in the high 40s to 50s. Fish are sluggish in the mornings, with fishing picking up in the afternoon and into the evening.
Look for fish in the riffles and the runs right below feeding on olives and caddis pupae.
At the request of a few customers, the gas price report is $3.82 as of last night.
