Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 58 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.

Despite some really nice weather today, fishing will be difficult as a gusty south wind is pushing in the warm front.
Fishing a stream running East/West with a southern bluff will get you out of the wind a bit, as will tucking into some wooded areas.
Fishing has been great for early season conditions with fish eating in the deeper pools in the mornings, then switchig to the sporadic hatches of midges and olives in the afternoon.  We have not seen tons of olives yet, but there are a few around.
Water temperatures are still in the high 30s and will peak at right around 40+ degrees around mid day with the sun out today.  Look for the most activity to be in the late morning and early afternoon as the water temp rises and before snowmelt begins to drop the water temperature.
Most of the streams are clear and have normal flows.
