Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 31 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.

Not too shabby for opening day weather!
We did not get much snow at all yesterday.  The stream banks are still either clear of snow, or have shin deep drifts at most.
A chance of light snow and a bit of wind, but nothing too nasty predicted.
Fishing should be good mid day when water temperatures are starting to climb.
Look for fish feeding below riffles in the afternoon, and on the bottom of the holes and springs during the daytime.
A handful of dry midges and a lot of thin bodied, heavy nymphs will do the trick today.
