Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 36 ℉, condition: Thunder Storms.
Tomorrow is opener and conditions could not be much better! No real snow on the ground, with bare spots throughout the area. The deepest drifts are about shin deep. There is a chance of snow today, but nothing major. With low snow, there will be no threat of muddy water as it melts (which it should on Wednesday when temps are supposed to approach 60)
Water levels are all good with only a couple streams running a bit low while everything else is normal to high.
Fish are feeding in the riffles on midges daily, and water temperatures have been peaking at just over 40 degrees.
