The next few days (until Saturday) are going to be quite warm hitting the low 40s, but windy.  This is still a great time to be fishing!  Late December and 40 degrees is unheard of. 
  Fish are eating very well sub surface, especially on steams that see the sun throughout the day.  Most effective are scuds, midge larvae, and small bead head nymphs.  On the warmest days, leeches and buggers twitched slowly along the bottom are deadly.
