Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 72 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Wisconsin's trout season is closed, we are fishing in Iowa.

A bit of cloud cover and some sporadic, light rain showers forecasted over the next couple of days.  Temperatures will be a bit lower than the recent string of 80 degrees too!
Fishing was solid during the warm weather and sun, and will only get better as clouds and rain will get more olives going over in Iowa.  Watch for the hatch in the late afternoon, and for fish to be looking up for small terrestrials all day.
Sub surface you can not go wrong with a grey scud pattern.  As a backup, having some thin bodied nymphs in size 16-20 is a good idea, as well as pink squirrels.
