Driftless Area
Rating: 5, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Another cool and breezy day in the Driftless. 63 degrees when I opened the doors and only supposed to top out at 74 today. Patchy clouds and a wind from the west.Terrestrials will be important today with the breeze. Olives and tricos in the morning when the sun is off the water, then terrestrials with a bead head nymph, midge larva, or scud down below (remember to make your dropper length long enough for the bead head to get to the bottom). In the evening fish will be feeding on midges and olives again on the surface.
With the good surface activity it is a good idea to have a selection of small parachute adams with you (16-20) as they will do a good job of imitating most of what is out there right now.
