Driftless Area

Rating: 5, temperature: 79 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Another fine day in the Driftless.  Water and air temps have been more than favorable (with even stretches of the Bad Axe below 65 degrees!).
Tricos on the Timber Coulee, midges in the mornings and some streams even getting olives in the evenings.
Fish are also taking scuds sub surface very well, especially in olive and grey.
This is terrestrial time for sure.  Hoppers, ants, beetles, and crickets are all very effective once the sun has been up for a little bit.  Fishing them with a micro mayfly, midge larvae, or scud dropper is especially good.
