Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 83 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

Warm and sunny today, but the rest of the week cools down and there will be partial cloud cover on most days.
Fishing has been very good lately, especially when the sun is off the water.
Water temps and air temps are just about prime for tricos.  We are also seeing spotty caddis, both hatching and egg laying, as well as a few olives on cloudy days.
Much of our fishing is with terrestrials now, with beetles, ants, and hoppers doing very well area wide.  Dropping a scud or a tiny nymph below that can be deadly.  Fish are also picking up on action of the flies, so do not be afraid to twitch that dry, or bounce that nymph a bit.  That little bit of movement can trigger an agressive strike.
