Pleasant summer weather all week this week. Just remember to avoid fishing in the open meadows when the sun is shining high in the sky. Fishing is best 5-9 mornings and evenings.Water temps have stabilized and are running in the mid 50s to low 60s. If you get a reading over 65 degrees we recommend that you move on as fishing will be slow and you have a greater chance to stress fish.
There are a few hatches including olives and a smattering of tricos, but surface wise, the fish are feeding best on midges and soft hackles in the riffles. They are also attacking terrestrials all day long.
Scuds, tiny bead head nymphs and midge larvae, leeches, and smaller flashy nymph are working well sub surface.
