Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 86 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

A hot summer day today, but the crushing humidity and heat index are gone from the area.  Normal summer weather feel great.
Fishing is best first thing in the morning then late in the evening when the sun is off the water.  Mid day, finding shade is key as is usng a thermometer.  After a week of hot weather, there are streams that are above 65 degrees.  Those streams will not fish very well and anything above 65 degrees can stress trout.
Terrestrials and other attractor dries, scuds, flashy bed head nymphs and tiny nymphs and midge larvae are working well.
