Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 75 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.
The cooler weather is still in the area and the fish are very happy. Trout are rising in the morning and evenings to midges, and with cloud cover today they will also be out feeding mid day. We have even seen a handful of caddis hatching with this cooler weather.Subsurface food includes scuds, midge larvae, leeches, crayfish, and anything small (18-22) with a beadhead.
Water temps are excellent for this time of year, and we will have good temps into the weekend. Waters are clear area wide.
