Fishing is still incredibly solid in the mornings and evenings when the sun is off the water and temperatures are a bit cooler. Mid day, hopper dropper fishing can be good, especially on shaded streams and on cooler headwater creeks.Subsurface fish are feeding on micro mayflies, midge larvae, and smaller scuds.
This is still a good time of year to fish streamers and leeches. They work best where the sun is off the water, and when twitched right next to undercut banks and lunker structures.
Water temps are still good for mid summer, and all streams are clear and fishable.
