Fishing is great in the mornings and evenings, and good in the afternoon. The key is finding cool water and shade. Fish are much more active in the morning and evening, and on cooler headwater streams and creeks with lots of shade.Water temps are still good in the mid 50s to low 60s.
Foggy this morning changing to sunny later this morning.
Midges are an important food source in the summer, both dry and larvae, and scuds are very important right now sub surface.
A hopper will get some incredible strikes (fish were hitting my fluorescent green indicator last night) and when you tie on a dropper to that hopper you will be able to catch fish all day.
Do not overlook leeches and streamers right now too, as they are very effective.
