Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 67 ℉, condition: Dust.
No rain yesterday gave our streams a chance to begin clearing up after a couple of muddy water days. There is a chance of more showers today, but nothing damaging. There are even more fishable waters out there today. On the cloudy waters, San Juan worms, leeches, and streamers are working well. On the clear waters; terrestrials, caddis, and a few light colored mayflies on the surface. Scuds, thicker bodied nymphs and midge larvae are the ticket sub surface.
Water temperatures are cool and the weather has dropped into the 60s for the next few nights. A magic mix of cool, cloudy weather and stained water!
