Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Flurries.
The rain yesterday was excellent. A nice cool soaking rain that did not blow anything out permanently. Expect stained to clear water area wide today.Today's weather will be warm and sunny (and a bit on the humid side). The limiting factor for excellent fishing will be the sun, when it is out fishing will slow down a bit, when it is behind the clouds, things will be much better.
Light colored mayflies, caddis, and even some hendricksons are hatching and fish are feeding on the surface mainly in the late afternoons and evenings. Do not forget terrestrials as they are very effective right now.
Scuds, caddis emergers, and tiny bead head nymphs sub surface.
Water temps are in the mid to high 50s.
