Driftless Area
Rating: 5, temperature: 66 ℉, condition: Dust.
Some light showers last night, and showers predicted for today. No water is blown out, nor should anything be in bad shape after today. This rain is great as it is cold rain that will recharge our streams a bit.Fishing has been excellent lately with fish rising area wide in the late afternoon and into the evening, and fish feeding heavily sub surface all day.
There is a large mix of flies hatching with the most productive being lighter colored flies in a tan to white body.
Sub surface scuds are effective, as are other thicker hodied nymphs as well as really thin flashy mayfly nymphs and some light colored emergers.
Do not forget leeches and streamers today as it will be cloudy all day.
