Driftless Area
Rating: 5, temperature: 72 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Sunny, but still cool today.Fishing has been strong all day long with hatches popping off in the afternoon and throughout the evening on most of our creeks.
Hendricksons, sulphurs, yellow sallies laying eggs, and a handful of caddis are hatching, and fish are also taking terrestrial patterns on the surface.
Subsurface gray scuds, pink squirrels, and bead head nymphs in tiny sizes (18-22) are working well, as are emergers when fish are rising.
Water temperatures are in the high 50s on average and water is clear.
