Driftless Area

Rating: 5, temperature: 61 ℉, condition: Windy.

The cold weather over the past two nights (and days) has dropped the water temperatures back down into the normal range for this time of year, and the bugs and fish are showing their appreciation by hatching well and feeding heavily!
Cloudy with a slight chance of drizzle on and off all day (blue winged olive weather) today.
Fish have been rising to midges in the mornings, then switching to a mix of mayflies, caddis, and yellow sally stoneflies in the afternoon/evening.
Subsurface, scuds are doing well as are pink squirrels and tiny bead head mayflies and midge larvae.
The weather will hold into the weekend with temps in the low 70s and a bit of sun on Saturday and Sunday.  Finally a good weather weekend to be out fishing!
