Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 91 ℉, condition: Flurries.
The last hot day this week until temperatures return to normal (and very favorable through the weekend!).Early morning fish will be sporadically rising to midges, mid day things slow down quite a bit, and the evening bite is the best right now.
Look for mayflies, caddis, yellow sallies, and a few craneflies to be hatching in the evening.
Terrestrials with a dropper are very effective too.
Subsurface flies that are effective include tiny bead head mayflies and midges, as well as thick bodied nymphs and caddis emergers.
