Driftless Area

Small tributaries and headwater creeks are already clear in many spots, and the majority of our waters are dropping and clearing quickly. By this afternoon everything will be fishable with clarity ranging from stained to clear except the larger bodies of water.Expect things to be back to normal with water temps in the low to mid 50s after the rain yesterday.
Caddis, Craneflies and light colored Mayflies are hatching area wide with fish rising in the riffles and shin deep runs below the riffles.
Sub surface bugs that are fishing well are red copper johns, midge larvae, pink squirrles and scuds, as well as smaller, thin bodied mayfly nymphs.
Breezy today with the wind coming from the northeast.
