Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 53 ℉, condition: Flurries.

UPDATE:  Drizzle and rain have fizzled out since 1.  Olives reported hatching on some area streams.

Are wide streams are clear to only slightly stained.  There will be patches of drizzle on and off today, with no accumulation expected and the sun poking out throughout the day too.  The wind will pick up a bit as this weather blows through the area.
Olives and midges will be happy, while the caddis will wait until tomorrow's sunny and warm weather.
Fish have been eating scuds and other thick bodied nymphs sub surface as well as olive and caddis emerger patterns.
On the surface midges and olives have been effective, while the odd Hendrickson has been spotted here and there.  The caddis hatch has been slow during these colder and cloudy days.
