Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 48 ℉, condition: Windy.
UPDATE: 9:30 The rain has stopped in Viroqua and we have had reports of clear water.Over 1/4 inch of rain since 4 a.m. means we will have murky water area wide. We are forecasted to receive about another quarter inch before 4 p.m. today.
There will be some fishable water, but it will be messy for at least half the day today.
The water will drop and clear quickly throughout the day.
Leeches, streamers, san juan worms, will work on the murky water, and the smaller streams that drop quickly will be fishing well with scuds and larger nymphs.
Caddis hatches will be off today. Olives and midges will pop in the afternoon if the rain stays away and waters warm up a degree or two.
