Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 53 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

Sunny today, which will warm up the water temperatures and get our hatches back on track again.  It will also help to melt the little remaining snow on the ground.  By this afternoon some streams will be running with a slight stain, but nothing should be blown out or unfishable.
With this sun, expect sporadic hatches of midges, caddis, and mayflies in the afternoon.
In the morning fishing a thick bodied nymph on the bottom or a tiny tungsten bead head nymph with an emerger (either mayfly or caddis) behind it will catch fish.
Look for leeches and streamers to start producing very well again over the next couple of warm days.
