Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 53 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.

The weekend's fishing, while still great, was effected by the storm that passed through on Sunday.  Viroqua was untouched by the storm and area wide streams are running clear still.
With a more stable weather pattern, and water temperatures hitting 50 on many of our streams, it is time to watch for our black caddis hatch along with the midges and olives we have hatching already.
Tiny bead head nymphs and midge larvae have been extremely effective sub surface along with some thicker bodied nymphs.
Leeches and streamers are also catching quite a few big fish as conditions are good for aggressive fish, just find some shade.
On top, midges and olives in 16-20 especially those that ride lower in the surface film.
