Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 55 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Mostly sunny again today which will have midges and olives hatching in the late morning/early afternoon.  Watch for fish rising in the heads and tails of pools.
Fishing has been great over the past few days with very happy fish feeding sub surface on tan scuds, midge larvae, and small bead head nymphs.  Up on top, they are eating single midge patterns, small adams, and olives in a size 16-18.
There has been no significant rain and our streams are all clear and flowing well.  Water temps are in the 40s and topping 50 on some of these warm sunny days.
