Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 43 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Fishing remains good on another sunny and warmer day (warmer compared to last week). The good fishing is in the afternoons when water temperature has risen enough to trigger insect activity (midge hatch) and get fish moving to eat.Small bead head nymphs and scuds are working well in the late mornings, and midge dry flies are catching rising fish.
Approach feeding fish with stealth as the water is crystal clear in most places and with bright sun the fish are extremely spooky.
