Driftless Area

Rating: 2, temperature: 29 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

A sunny day today and no more rain/snow/hail/sleet in the picture for a while.
Streams are continuing to drop and clear and we have even more fishable water open this morning.  Expect some of the larger bodies of water (there were fish rising in the cloudy water on the Timber Coulee briefly yesterday) to start clearing up over the next couple of days.
Most of the snow is gone off the banks.
It is cold out, so adjust your fishing times to take advantage of the sun warming the water.  No need to start out early after a cold night, hit the water around 9 or 10 and you should be fine.
Fish are eating leeches and large scuds, as well as midge larvae and small, brightly colored nymphs subsurface.
On top there are still midge hatches around noon.
