Driftless Area

Rating: 2, temperature: 39 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.

Cool and gusty winds today as a new weather pattern blows in.  Fishing will still be good from about 10-3 with fish feeding on midges.
This evening is calling for some snow/sleet so be careful driving tonight.
Fish have been rising to midges around noon, and taking sub surface scuds, leeches, and tiny caddis pupae with some sparkle in them.  Black copper johns and zebra midges are also working well.
Water temperatures are hitting 40 at the peak of the day.  Waters are high and clear with a slight stain on larger streams after a good melt today.  Not even close to being blown out or unfishable.
