Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 38 ℉, condition: Windy.
Wisconsin's season opens tomorrow at 5 a.m.Warm conditions yesterday and today have a bit extra snow melting off the banks. Nothing to blow the streams out or even stain them, especially as tomorrow will be a bit chillier. We have had a total of 1/5 an inch of precipitation last night, so again nothing that will come close to blowing out streams.
Everything looks great for the opener!
Most of the action will be sub surface on scuds, small black nymphs, and some big ugly bugs fished slowly in slower water.
Water temps are hitting 40 degrees around noon, and fish are most active between 9 am and 3 pm.
