Wisconsin's trout season opens Saturday March 5th.Colder today after a melting day yesterday. Tomorrow will bring another melt.
There is still snow locked up on the banks, but not incredibly deep. We will be watching the melt before opener and reporting on it.
Waters are clear and high with fish happily sipping midges and winter stoneflies in the afternoons.
