Wisconsin's season is closed. Iowa is where we are fishing and guiding.The rating drops a bit today as it will be a bit windy. Find a wooded section or a stream flowing north/south to get out of the breeze.
Fishing on the surface is best with terrestrials and attractor dry flies, as the olive hatch has been sparse and unreliable due to the string of bluebird days. Once we get a bit more cloud cover, the olives will come back in force.
Subsurface fishing has been best on scuds and leeches, as well as some tiny mayfly nymphs and midge larvae.
