Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 69 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.

Another cloudy day today with cool temperatures.  We are waiting for the light blue winged olive hatch to explode any day.
Fishing has been great subsurface on scuds, thin bodied nymphs in darker colors (blue winged olive nymphs), and leeches.
Terrestrials, especially ants and beetles, have also caught quite a few fish especially mid day.
There may be some rain tonight, but it does not look like any major accumulation, just enough to invigorate the bugs and fish even more.
Water temperatures are cool, weather is great, and fish are aggressive.  Take advantage of the perfect conditions as Wisconsin's trout season closes at the end of this month.
