Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 84 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
UPDATE: Good Trico spinner fall this morning!Small water is clear and fishing well with leeches, hoppers, and small nymphs. Larger waters are still stained but anglers are catching fish on larger nymphs and streamers.
It will be warm and sunny today so find some shade to find the more active fish. Fishing is best early in the morning at first light, and the last few hours in the evening when the sun goes behind the ridges.
During mid day fish will be holding below undercut banks and tight to other forms of cover getting out of the sun.
Hatches are sparse with a few midges and olives coming off in the mornings but fish are feeding well on nymphs and looking up for terrestrials.
