Driftless Area
Rating: 1, temperature: 79 ℉, condition: Fog.
UPDATE 5:00 PM: Went to one of the streams that clear up quickly and was murky. Fishable with a leech or streamer, but would be tough. Tomorrow morning some of the smaller stuff will fish if we do not get any more rain tonight.UPDATE 1:30 pm: Rain slowed down significantly. Looks like an inch and a half since this morning. Will report if we get any major rains, if not we will scout after the shop closes.
UPDATE 10:45 am: Main rains have stopped only localized showers should hit us for the rest of the day. 1.35 inches this morning.
UPDATE 8:30 a.m.: Rain has become gentle showers to heavier rain as the main part of the storm passes.
A rainy storm is sitting over us today. Nothing too heavy as of yet but by the end of the morning streams will be murky. We will keep you updated on rainfall totals and water clarity throughout the day today and into tomorrow. The smaller streams should drop and clear by late tomorrow afternoon and the larger bodies of water (Timber Coulee, West Fork etc) should be fishable by the weekend but flowing with some cloudiness.
All this rain the past 30 days has water levels in great shape, the springs are churning out cold water, and the bankside vegetation has been knocked down a bit during these rainstorms!
