Driftless Area

Rating: 2, temperature: 84 ℉, condition: Flurries.

UPDATE NOON:  Customers who fished the Timber Coulee said the main branch was clearing rapidly and the tribs are still muddy.  Area should be stained to milky by this evening.

An inch of rain in less than an hour yesterday has creeks stained to murky.  They will clear out quickly today barring any more rain today.  It will be hot and humid today with dense fog in some of the valleys.
Fishing has been best on ants and beetles (Our guides have been fishing an ant/beetle combo and cleaning up!) with the occasional fish rising to light colored mayflies and craneflies.
Sub surface scuds will be very important after the high water, and midge larvae along with tiny bead head nymphs are still doing well.
Leeches, streamers and San Juan Worms work best in the murkiest of waters.
Again, the water will clear up quickly as it was an inch in an hour around 6 last night and nothing since.
