Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 73 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.

UPDATE 4:30:  Rainy and heavier than expected. A tenth of an inch over the past 3 hours, it will make some streams cloudy, and if there is no major rain overnight we will be stained to clear tomorrow morning.  The heavy band of rain is past us.

Cloudy and a chance of showers most of the day today.  Great fishing weather!
Fish are still stacked in the riffles and feeding well on surface bugs including terrestrials, olive caddis, and yellow sallies.
Dropping a smaller nymph below your dry fly will give the fish another look and another chance to eat.
Hatches are pretty sparse outside of the smaller cold creeks where the caddis are fairly thick both hatching and egg laying.
